What are the requirements for same-day dispatch?

Do you own the items you are selling?

Yes, all equipment is owned by CBI Surplus.

How often is your inventory updated?

Our website is a live inventory of what is available. Sold items are immediately removed.

Where is the equipment located?

All equipment is stored at our facility in Scotia, New York.

Is CBI Surplus owned by Capovani Brothers Inc.?

Yes, CBI Surplus is a wholly owned subsidiary of Capovani Brothers Inc.

What is the difference between CBI Surplus and Capovani Brothers Inc.?

The main difference between CBI Surplus and Capovani Brothers is that CBI Surplus is selling items with a thirty-day warranty and does not fully test or repair items. Whereas Capovani Brothers Inc refurbishes all items, confirms their operation, and sells items with a ninety-day warranty.

Are items tested?

In most cases, items are not tested. However, many items in our inventory are new, open box or new in the box and thus do not require testing. Items which have been tested will be called out in the listing as well as what level of testing and the results of said testing.

What is the difference between New and New Other conditions?

Items listed as New are ones that are brand new, unused, and in their original packaging (where packaging is applicable)

Items listed as New Other are ones in new condition with no functional defects. The item may be missing original packaging or was removed from new equipment that was never commissioned.

What does “sold as is” or “for parts only” mean?

These terms mean that these items are not being sold with a right of return.

Do you ship internationally?

We only ship within the United States

How soon will my order ship?

Orders will ship within 1 to 3 business days after receipt of order.

How does shipping work for freight items?

Freight items can be ready to ship from our facility within 3-5 business days. Please note that the customer is responsible for arranging freight shipments and covering all associated costs. Additionally, there is a handling fee which will be applied at checkout to cover the cost of preparing the item for shipping.
